For Zach’s single-color print challenge in the first episode of the Print Masters Throwdown, he used the ROQ YOU P8 press, incorporating a ROQ flash and a STAMPINATOR for added impact. The design was inspired by his admiration for Andy Warhol and his journey with the Can of Corn brand, resulting in a three-part piece: a “Can of Warhol” puff print on the front, a smooth Can of Corn QR code below it, and a full back print featuring a halftone photo of Andy Warhol screen printing the Can of Corn—representing the forthcoming of the brand and artist.
This design reflects his passion for art, screen printing, and the influence Warhol has had on his creative journey. Although the single-color challenge kept the design straightforward, he aimed to create depth and texture. He used Bolt White ink from Avient for a clean, striking contrast on Allmade’s heavyweight black tees, ensuring the print would pop. The final result is a soft, large-format print that holds attention, enhanced by the interactive QR code and the unique puff effect on the front. Despite technical challenges, he’s thrilled with how the shirt turned out—both visually and in feel.
